Name the ship and the terminal
Provide the cruise date, ship name, port and terminal when known. A port name alone may not identify the collection point. Keep your booking team updated when the cruise operator confirms or changes the terminal information, and use the pickup instructions in your journey confirmation.
Distinguish docking from being ready
The time a ship is scheduled to dock is not necessarily when you will be outside with your luggage. Disembarkation arrangements vary by sailing and passenger circumstances. Share the information supplied by your cruise operator and discuss a realistic collection plan with the reservations team.
Describe luggage and onward stops
Cruise luggage can take up substantial space. Give a clear count of cases and any mobility equipment or other large items before vehicle selection. Include the full onward address and any hotel, family or airport stop you need along the way, even if the extra stop seems brief.
Review the return journey separately
If you also need transport to the ship, confirm that journey as its own itinerary with the required arrival time supplied by the cruise operator. For an onward flight, discuss the connection before booking. Do not rely on a generic driving estimate as a promise that a tight connection is achievable.
